Happy Birthday!  Everyone loves to celebrate their birthday.  The cake, the ice cream, the presents!

Having a plan for your child’s birthday party may seem overwhelming, but it will make this special occasion less stressful, and I can help.

The first step – Event Consultation

This is a FREE consultation to discuss the event service type that best fits your budget and the type of event this will be (kids only party or family party or both).  Do you have any family traditions you want to be included?

Now the fun part – the planning.

  • Choose a Theme
    • The first step to planning a kid’s birthday party is choosing a theme
  • Determine the Guest List & Send Invitations
    • The next step is to determine who you’re inviting and then to send out invitations.
  • Pick the Location
    • You will need to decide if you want to host the party at your home or another location. When hosting an event at home, the advantage is it is less expensive, however, keep in mind you will have pre/post party clean up and decorating to consider.  Hosting the party at an outside location may be more convenient from the pre/post clean up standpoint, however, now you will need to consider if there is rental free, does the location offer public or private space(s), does the venue age requirements, and lastly does the venue require a food purchase or allow you to bring in food.
  • Order Food
    • Once you have determined the venues food policy, you will then need to consider any allergy and dietary restrictions your party guests may have.
  • Décor & Party Favors
    • If you host the party at a venue, check with them on the decorations policy, some may not allow you to decorate the walls or hang streamers from the ceiling, however, most will allow you to put party table clothes down and have balloons. Party favors don’t have to be expensive, a small treat bag with candy and trinkets will usually be acceptable.
  • Games & Entertainment
    • When planning for games and/or entertainment take into consideration where you are hosting your event. If you are at a venue that has built-in activities, you will not need to provide additional games/entertainment.  If you are hosting at home, consider the ages of your child and guests, not to mention the games should be designed for a group of children – the goal is to include everyone.
  • Prepare a Checklist for the Day of the event
    • I am a big supporter of checklists to keep an event on track and make sure nothing is forgotten and the guest of honor leaves with lots of great memories. Speaking of memories – don’t forget your camera!

Services start at $250 for 8 hours of planning and coordination plus materials (materials include: food, décor, party favors, etc.) You can be as involved as you wish, I am happy to customize the celebration to meet your needs and budget.  Ready to get started?  Call Tina at 414-436-1128
